Time dilation at the point of a black hole's event horizon is infinite, so while any object that we as observers might be watching fall in would redshift beyond our capacity to see it, it is nonetheless theoretically still there, unseen and frozen at the event horizon and, were we able to see it (i.e. if we had a device which could see past the redshift) it would, from observation, never actually go in. All that light and mass just sitting frozen on the doorstep, like a graveyard orbit of all the pieces of the sky.

I still miss my ex a lot but we don't talk anymore.
